Trondenes Historical Center Harstad – opening hours, tickets and experiences

The museum operates with separate prices for the summer and winter seasons. In the summer there are extra activities at the medieval farm for children and young people.
No advance booking is required – tickets are purchased upon arrival.

The permanent exhibition is spread over two floors and takes you from the Stone Age, through the Viking Age, the Middle Ages and all the way to the post-war period. Here you will find unique objects such as:

The outdoor area offers an authentic medieval farm with reconstructed buildings. Visit the barn, experience life as it was 800 years ago, or enter the stave church – a copy of King Øystein's church that stood at Trondenes.
Enjoy cakes, sandwiches, waffles and a good cup of coffee in historic surroundings at Trondenes.
The café is open during the museum's opening hours, with the exception of certain days when there are events or similar.
